i know that feel bro
do you ever cry because you only get feelings for villain characters even though you should hate them but you just can’t control it because you love them so much and want to wrap them in your arms and protect them from whatever made them so villainous

Even though Loghain isn’t a villain. I’m just sayin.

Do Mages Dream of Dwarven Sheep?
I’ve always wondered what was in Anders’ Manifesto. He speaks of justice and morality but never truly on the -why-. Its easy for Hawke to see why, having run from Templars for most of his life, but that’s not the point is it? After Karl was made Tranquil, how did the tone of his writing shift? Did those late night scribbles suddenly trump everything else in his life? Did the act take him to a higher echelon of understanding -why- the Chantry was wrong? Or did he merely give up and let Justice take a greater control in his life, too saddened by his loss?
Because Tranquility is also said to be “severing the connection to the Fade.” But.. that’s not quite right is it? Qunari mages are not “severed” but merely controlled. Magic comes from the Fade, from the connection to the Fade, so to sever it means that Templars directing mages on the battlefield should amount to them shouting commands at the soulless who thwack things with their giant sticks and nothing more. So what they are truly severing is the mages’ ability to make pacts with demons by reducing them to a creature that has no wants or desires, nothing for the demon to feed off of. This issue can be solved easily by asking a Tranquil if they dream at night. I can only hope, much like Karl when Justice is about, there they are free to be who they once were.

UH! But this is my OC! She’s -TOTALLY- canon!

Ok, so she’s like an elf but is TOTALLY Qunari. And she like… is an assassin and is so totally cool! She has a Qunari name: Tallis (LEGIT GUYS! teehee!) She has a really troubled past and doesn’t like to talk about it but she might if she grows to trust you (it will take a -really- long time like… maybe a whole rp session or something). She totally knows the Qunari language and is really smart and was totally trained as a Ben-Hassrath. See? So its way different than the Beresaad and totally allowable. BTdubbs I totally tweeted that Gaider guy and he said it was totally in canon. <3333 ^_~

spicyshimmy said: i always feel so sad when he doesn’t even survive past the joining. he had that quick, sharp, slightly dangerous city-boy personality that i couldn’t help but adore! it makes me so happy to think of him making it and being awesome all around :DI know right!?…
But Davith dying was important to the story. Jory’s asshattery was to show you what happened if you became a Samwell Tarly. Davith was to show you that capable men could succumb to the taint as well. It really is an excellent way to show the warden was selected by Flemeth’s notion of “fate” and not by just random chance. And I completely agree that Duncan saw a great deal of himself in Davith. But Davith’s death was a firm reminder to Duncan that nothing is permanent (a sentiment echoed in the Warden’s Keep imo). That’s the reality for Wardens; death is a constant companion and you just do what you can to turn the tide until its your time. Now if only Cailan had understood that instead of flirting with that damned Orlesian. :P

Swift wind! Space! My Soul!: Some interesting details on Dragon Age from David Gaider
So, short backstory! David Gaider is on vacation in New Orleans, where I live. I tweeted at him as a joke about giving him free alcohol in exchange for Dragon Age secrets… much to my surprise he tweeted back and offered to meet up, if I wanted. Much fangirling ensued. We had lunch today!
I am…
